On March 22, 2024, the Institute for Sustainable Water Management and Water Law of European Public Law Organization – EPLO participated in the global celebration of World Water Day.
Within the context of the project “Water Rethink” funded by the Green Fund of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, and implemented by EPLO, the Institute members actively engaged with the community in Plaka, Athens, to disseminate awareness and knowledge regarding sustainable water management practices, including a demonstration of a membrane filtration unit for water purification highlighting the importance of innovative technologies designed to ensure universal access to clean and potable water.
It should be noted that the project’s mission and objective is also in alignment with this year’s UN theme “Water for Peace“.
“Water Rethink” aims to raise awareness on the issue of water reuse as a pathway to tackle Water Scarcity.
